Where You Want to Be is the second studio album by American rock band Taking Back Sunday. The origin of the album's title comes from a line in the chorus of the song "Set Phasers to Stun". While touring to promote Tell All Your Friends (2002), guitarist John Nolan and bassist Shaun Cooper left the group and were replaced by Fred Mascherino and Matt Rubano, respectively.
This is an excellent pressing of taking back sunday's best album in my humble opinion. The pressing has excellent highs and lows and sounds tubey. Reply See 1 reply Notify me Helpful. referencing Where You Want To Be, LP, Album, RP, VR228.

Taking Back Sunday have recently rised and risen above most emo bands out there, and have become one of the most successful bands in the emo scene this millenium. Their first album Tell All Your Friends introduced us to the band we love today. Where You Want To Be is their eagerly anticipated sophomore attempt. Set Phasers To Stun - 7/10 An interesting opening track. It's quite mellow, and the lyrics are very TBS.
Where You Want to Be builds on the -pop-skills of Taking Back Sunday's debut, Tell All Your Friends, and reveals the group to be, in many ways, a quintessential latter-day emo band. Not because they're redefining the style's sound, but because their music is defined by so many of emo's nearly cliché tendencies. But since the band doesn't take the occasionally cringe-worthy risks of some of their emo brethren, Taking Back Sunday sometimes comes off as less than distinctive, and the album can sound like a generic soundtrack to generic teenage angst; even though it's a nearly universal subject, it should never sound routine.
