Metroid Prime definately delivers in this catagory. From being caught in an intense fight with the space pirates to fighting rouge chozo ghosts, this music perfectly reflects the atmosphere of whats happening. I give the album itself a 10 because I simply love all metroid music. But WTF, when I download the songs, it says they're still located on the internet and because of this, I can't put them on my mp3. I'm using windows media player 11.
Metroid Prime marked a new style of music for the Metroid series, dominated by electronic scores and X-Files-esque whistling, a style requested by the Retro Studios staff. A departure from the orchestral score of Super Metroid, Metroid Prime redefined the series musically as a mysterious confluence of technology, civilization, and nature. The soundtrack was composed by Kenji Yamamoto with assistance by Kyoichi Kyuma. 2002 also saw Kenji Yamamoto work on Metroid Fusion, making it a busy year for the man who defined the music of Metroid for over a decade.

It even tops the Metal Gear Solid, Mario and dare I say it. .even The Elder Scrolls series. Pretty much Metroid blows a lot of video games out of water, for me at least. One of the things that make the Metroid series so downright mind blowing is its tantalizing soundscapes and their undeniable generosity to the listener. So before I completely lose myself in this absolutely enthralling world of Metroid Prime there is still the second disc. If you thought the second disc would just be a tag along, again, we are talking about Metroid. Metroid Fusion Arranged Version opens in squeaky, riveting pockets of flashes and sharp, high audio tears.
